Drenge's childhood home was a safehouse for Oasis

Drenge’s introduction to the music world came at an early age; the brothers Loveless reckon that their old childhood home in Hitchen was Oasis’ allocated ‘safehouse’ during the Britpop band’s famous concerts in the Knebworth.

Noel and Liam Gallagher played the 250,000 capacity concerts in 1996, and apparently Drenge’s mum’s house was their band’s place of safety in the event of terror attacks at the huge event.

“Not sure if this is 100% accurate, because I was very young and we lived in Hitchin in the old days but…if there had been a terrorist attack at Knebworth, Noel and Liam and the lads would’ve been taken to our house,” tweeted the band exactly 20 years after the Knebworth concerts. “Our mom worked there and was off that weekend but our house was the safehouse.”

“First taste of rock’n’roll there lads,” they concluded.
