Dustin Kensrue confirms new album 'Carry The Fire'

Not content with promises of reuniting Thrice this year, the band’s frontman Dustin Kensrue has now confirmed plans to release his second solo album, ‘Carry The Fire’.

Having previously hinted that a new record was on the way, it’s now been confirmed that Kensrue’s sophomore offering will follow on from his 2007 debut ‘Please Come Home’ and is due for release on 21st April through Staple Records/ Vagrant Records.

“This record is a study in contrasts; light and darkness, flame and flood, true love and senseless hatred,” Kensrue’s website reads. “What does it mean to ‘carry the fire’ when it so often seems like there is no light or warmth to be found at all? This is the question woven through the fabric of these ten songs.”

His new album was self-produced and saw Brian Eichelberger take on mixing duties before being mastered by Howie Weinberg.

The tracklisting is as follows.

Ruby
Back to Back
Gallows
There’s Something Dark
Death or Glory
In the Darkness
Of Crows and Crowns
Juggernaut
What Beautiful Things
Carry The Fire
