Ellie Goulding breaks new streaming record, Charli XCX and Ibeyi score new entries
Goulding’s ‘Love Me Like You Do’ has topped Mark Ronson’s streaming feats.
Ellie Goulding’s ‘Love Me Like You Do’ has scored a third week at the top of the Official Singles Chart, in turn topping Mark Ronson’s weekly streaming record.
Her Fifty Shades of Grey single racked up 2.58 million listens, beating ‘Uptown Funk’’s 2.56 million high. Both tracks featured in the top three, with Hozier’s ‘Take Me to Church’ at #2.
In the UK Official Albums Chart, Charli XCX’s ‘Sucker’ album went straight in at #1, the highest new entry coming from British group Thunder, with ‘Wonder Days’ at #9.
Elsewhere, XL-signed duo Ibeyi’s self-titled debut entered at #36, while Idlewild’s fifth album ‘Everything Ever Written’ went in at #20. Imagine Dragons’ ‘Smoke & Mirrors’ took the top spot.
