Empire State Bastard drop new video for ‘The Looming’

Following riotous turns performing at Glastonbury, Download, 2000Trees and Hellfest, Empire State Bastard have shared their latest single, ‘The Looming’. It joins ‘Harvest’ and ‘Stutter’ as one of three tasters of ‘Rivers Of Heresy’, the duo’s debut album (out on 1st September).

‘The Looming’ acts as the album’s closer, its surging stoner rock unrelenting in its power. Of the track, the band simply stated: “The end is nigh! The end is looming! F*ck what they told ya!” An album that for fans has been a long time coming, it sees Mike Vennart and Simon Neil (of Biffy Clyro) joined by Slayer/Fantomas drummer Dave Lombardo and bassist Naomi Macleod. Together, they to expand the boundaries of metal and produce a project that was ‘pure, unabridged hatred in musical form’.
