Empress Of previews debut album with new track, ‘Water Water’

Empress Of - the moniker of Brooklyn-based musician Lorely Rodriguez - has shared a new single, ‘Water Water’, the first preview of a debut album expected in 2015.

Lorely Rodriguez will release the long-player via Terrible Records / XL, with ‘Water Water’ her first new material since 2014’s standalone single ‘Realize You’. A bouncy glitch-filled jam, it’s a distant shout from the more intimate and serene material from Rodriguez’s debut EP ‘Systems’, from 2013.

Empress Of will support Jamie xx and Jon Hopkins this week at Yucca Valley’s (CA) Joshua Tree, before a five date residency at New York’s Elvis Guesthouse. Empress Of will also perform at The Great Escape in Brighton before supporting Florence & The Machine on two dates in North America. Catch her on the following dates:
