English Teacher share Chatham Dockyard live video for ‘Not Everybody Gets To Go To Space’
The new visualiser is inspired by the ‘Fisherman Aesthetic’, as part of the Pinterest Predicts 2025 series.

This year’s Mercury Prize winners English Teacher have rounded off 2024 by sharing a new live performance video for ‘Not Everybody Gets To Go To Space’, a track lifted from their superlative debut album ‘This Could Be Texas’.
Shot between Chatham’s historic dockyard and Dungeness beach, the Simon Lane-directed visualiser takes the ‘Fisherman Aesthetic’ as its inspiration - one of the key style trends predicted for 2025 by Pinterest, which the platform has defined us “a new laid-back maritime attitude with cable-knit sweaters, striped tops, and sardine tattoos”.
The band were given creative free rein to interpret the brief in their own way, with Lane commenting that: “The aim was to create a fisherman aesthetic for Pinterest, letting that guide every creative decision, from the epic dockyard location through to styling - you can see Lily’s lobster knitwear and art direction with lobster pots, buoys and fishing nets; we had a lot of fun making it!”
