Fall Out Boy Guitarist Quashes Reunion Rumours

Fall Out Boy Guitarist Quashes Reunion Rumours
It all seemed a little too good to be true when the news broke that a Fall Out Boy reunion was imminent. Yet on Friday night we were swept away with nostalgia, when PropertyOfZack reported that they had “confirmed with several trusted sources that Fall Out Boy are reuniting after a three year-plus hiatus. Fans should expect an official announcement in the near future.”

Now, trusted sources or not, it seems as though we may be back to square one after all. Fall Out Boy guitarist Joe Trohman - who quashed the last rumour of a reunion that surrounded the Chicago four-piece - took to his Twitter account once more to deny that the band would be ending their hiatus.

Ironically, the tweet mentions the word ‘surf’, when the band are rumoured to be appearing at this year’s Surf & Skate Festival. Who knows, there may be more news to come yet.

Fall Out Boy released their fifth and final album ‘Folie à Deux’ in 2008. The band announced their hiatus in 2009.
