Father John Misty’s new album is “pretty much done”
Looks like the follow-up to ‘Pure Comedy’ is on its way.
Back in July, Father John Misty revealed at a show in Sydney that work was already well underway on his new album, the follow-up to this year’s ‘Pure Comedy’.
In a new interview, Josh Tillman has now revealed that the album is “pretty much done”.
Talking to NME, Tillman said: “I have to put a new bass synth part on. I spent hours just screaming, crying in frustration going through synth patches trying to find the right one.”
The album is said to be 10 tracks long, released next year, and featuring what Tillman calls “spritely BPMs”.
The interview came at this weekend’s End of the Road Festival in Dorset, where the singer made his first festival headline appearance of his career, topping the bill alongside Mac DeMarco and Bill Callahan.
