Father John Misty shares new song ‘Chateau Lobby #4 (In C For Two Virgins)’
The second track to be previewed from ‘I Love You, Honeybear’ is accompanied by a hazy, iPad-filmed video.
After premiering ‘Bored In The USA’ back in November, former Fleet Foxes drummer Josh Tillman, aka Father John Misty, has unveiled another new song from his forthcoming second album, ‘I Love You, Honeybear’, in the form of ‘Chateau Lobby #4 (In C For Two Virgins)’.
Placing Tillman’s indelible croon at the centre of an evocative orchestral sweep, the track’s romantic edge is sharpened by a bank of handclaps and horns, and has been released alongside a quirky home video shot by the singer’s filmmaking wife, Emma, on an iPad.
The clips plays out an intentionally distorted journey into the intimacies of the couples’ recent wedding anniversary, and counts night swimming, pancake close-ups and lounging between the sheets amongst its intrusive subject matter.
Father John Misty’s second album ‘I Love You, Honeybear’ is due out on 9th February via Sub Pop.
