Feist is releasing a new cookbook

Feist returned this year not only to contribute to Broken Social Scene’s ‘Hug of Thunder’ but also to release her latest solo album, ‘Pleasure’.

Ever wondered what Leslie ate in the studio though? Well, now you can find out. She’s releasing new cookbook ‘Pleasures’ on 11th December. It’s a collaboration with chef Adrienne Amato, who was a cook during the recording sessions for ‘Pleasure’. It’ll contain vegetarian dishes, collecting over 40 dishes from 11 days in the studio. As reported by Pitchfork, these recipes will be structured in a “song-by-song, day-by-day basis”, so you can plan your listening to the LP around a bit of grub.

All the proceeds from the cookbook are set to head to Community Food Centres Canada.

Earlier in the year, Feist released a video for her single ‘Century’ in which she had a dance battle with herself (or at least a lookalike). Jarvis Cocker also turned up to stare into the void and read his spoken-word lines. Hypnotising stuff.
