On the telly:
Watch Feist play ‘Century’ with Stephen Colbert
Colbert took on Jarvis Cocker’s role for the duet.
We’re more used to saying that someone is playing on
Colbert, but this time the host got in on the action.
It’s been a couple of months since Feist released ‘Pleasure’,
probably her rawest album to date. She’s currently on tour in support of the
LP, and popped into play her latest single ‘Century’ on ‘The Late Show With
Stephen Colbert’.
Now, in the original Jarvis Cocker stepped in at one point
to opine about how a full century is (it’s “3,155,973,600 seconds”, apparently)
but he couldn’t be there to give us that info. Instead, Colbert himself stepped
up to give us that spoken word section, and although Jarvis’s are some mighty
big shoes to fill, he did a mighty good job. Kudos, Stephen!
