FEMME: ‘I Love Being On Stage And Performing For People’
Ahead of her appearance as part of THE FIX with FRUKT and BMI, DIY chats to Laura Bettinson.

Tonight, DIY will be bustle its way through Oxford Street’s crowds to cram ourselves into The Social for The Fix, the first night of a rather special series of shows, in association with FRUKT.
Taking on headlining duties for the evening will be the feisty FEMME, also known as Laura Bettinson, or the voice of Ultraista.
“I love being on stage and performing for people so putting my songs into a live context is something I really enjoy,” explains Bettinson, on the transformation of her solo project into a living, breathing live show. “I also get to hang out with my girls and make up dance routines everyday. So there really are no complaints here.”
What can we expect from the show itself? “Lots of dancing, bouncy big beats, sisterhood, girls, sass, and a lot of fun,” she assures us. “My album is written and recorded, so you can expect that this year and I’m putting out another single ‘High’ in April, so look out for that. If you’ve liked what has come so far you will love the record.”
FEMME plays The Fix alongside ASTR and Man and The Echo on Tuesday 4th February at The Social, London.
Entry is free, so make sure you get there early. The night will be backed by FRUKT & DIY DJs.
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
