FFS share new track ‘Collaborations Don’t Work’
The ironically named track comes from Franz Ferdinand and Sparks’ new collaborative project ahead of their debut.
Ahead of releasing their debut album, FFS have released a new track, ‘Collaborations Don’t Work’.
It’s a deliberately ironic title given that FFS is a collaboration in itself; between Franz Ferdinand, and American art-rock legends Sparks. The two bands first met around the time that Franz Ferdinand released ‘Take Me Out’ back in 2004, and the idea of working on some sort of project together has been floating around ever since. Now they’re preparing to release their self-titled album - produced by John Congleton (St. Vincent, Swans,) on June 8th via Domino.
Clocking in at over 6 minutes, and veering from sombre chants to orchestral madness, and back again for the hell of it, ‘Collaborations Don’t Work’ is absolute mayhem. Listen below:
