First Isle Of Wight Headliner Announced As The Stone Roses

The first of the three headliners for next year’s Isle of Wight festival has been confirmed as The Stone Roses.

In a UK festival exclusive, the Manchester four-piece will be appearing on the Main Stage at the festival at the top of Friday 14th June’s bill.

Speaking of the booking, the festival’s promoter John Giddings says: “When you talk about the soundtrack of our lives, The Stone Roses are embedded in it. I am so proud to get them to our island- they will kick the weekend off with a bang.”

Taking place in Seaclose Park, Newport on the Isle of Wight, the festival will take place from the 13th to the 16th June, with tickets going on sale on Wednesday 28th November from www.isleofwightfestival.com. More acts will be announced soon.

Last year’s festival played host to headliners Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Pearl Jam and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
