First trailer for Brian Wilson biopic ‘Love & Mercy’ arrives
The Beach Boys founder will be played by Paul Dano and John Cusack
The first trailer for the forthcoming biopic about Brian Wilson has been unveiled. The Beach Boys founder will be played by both Paul Dano and John Cusack in ‘Love & Mercy’, with a worldwide release date set for 5th June this year.
The film will document the iconic musician’s life and career, directed by Bill Pohlad (The Tree of Life). The film “paints an unconventional portrait of the artist by interweaving seminal moments in his life, from his artistic genius to his profound struggles, and the love that keeps him alive.”
Paul Dano (There Will Be Blood, Little Miss Sunshine) will play the younger Beach Boy, with Cusack taking on the role of Wilson in his later years. The film also features performances from Elizabeth Banks playing Wilson’s second wife Melinda and Paul Giamatti, who plays Wilson’s therapist Eugene Landy
