Flume, Florence + The Machine, Nas confirmed for Bestival Toronto
Rob da Bank’s festival is taking its first step in North America this June.
Hanlan’s Point Beach, Toronto Island is set to host the first ever Bestival Toronto this June, from the brainchild of Rob da Bank.
The first acts have been announced for the 12th-13th weekender, with Florence + The Machine and Nas confirmed to headline.
They’ll be joined by Aussie producer Flume and Caribou. Canadian names arrive in the shape of Owen Pallett and Tops, with further exciting additions coming from SBTRKT (DJ), Jamie xx, Cashmere Cat and Tei Shi.
Rob da Bank had this to say: “To say that we’re excited at Bestival HQ about launching our very first Bestival outside of the UK is a serious understatement. We’ve spent 12 years working up to this moment and are so proud to be teaming up with Toronto to launch the good ship that is Bestival overseas. I’m also very proud of our first heavy hitting line-up with typically diverse headliners, Florence and The Machine and Nas! Two amazing talents. We are also announcing; the best leftfield acts around with Caribou and Omar Souleyman, electronic music from Jamie xx and Flosstradamus. I really hope you can join us on the ferry to Toronto Island in June. See you on the beach.”
Tickets go on sale this Thursday, 5th March.
