Flume teams up with Toro Y Moi on new song ‘The Difference’
The Australian producer will also host three nights of ‘Flume & Friends’ gigs at Red Rocks in Colorado this June.
Flume has linked up with Toro Y Moi on a new collaborative single called ‘The Difference’.
The new track also comes complete with a video directed by Jonathan Zawada.
“We made this song between a day at my place in L.A. and a day at Chaz’s spot in Oakland,” Flume says of the new collaboration.
“This was our first time working together, I’ve been a Toro Y Moi fan for a while. His song ‘Talamak’ is a longtime favourite. I listened to that one a lot when I first started Flume as a project.”
Flume is also set to host a three-night residency at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado this June, billed as ‘Flume & Friends’.
‘The Difference’ is Flume’s first new music of 2020, following the release of his mixtape ‘Hi This Is Flume’ last year.
Speaking to DIY in a recent interview, Flume – aka Sydney-born, LA-based Harley Streten – discussed his plans for new music.
“I’m going to really dedicate the first part of this year to make [an album] happen, but I don’t want you to take that as, ‘it’s going to happen’. Because, well, what if it doesn’t? I don’t know,” he said.
