Foals are sharing tapes of ‘What Went Down’ around the world
Band are posting co-ordinates of the tapes’ locations online.
A couple of days ahead of release (28th August), Foals’ ‘What Went Down’ album is being distributed worldwide in the form of a tape.
Foals have been plotting co-ordinates and sharing the location of limited tapes on their Twitter. They’re then asking fans to share their tape discoveries using the #whatwentdowntapes hasthag, but they’re being told: “Please don’t upload it to the internet!”
So far, tapes have been placed in Amsterdam, Madrid, Paris and Oslo.
This Friday, Foals play an album launch show at London’s Rough Trade East. Tickets are sold out.
