Foo Fighters announce third secret UK club show at Islington Assembly Hall, London

The final secret show is on sale now.

Foo Fighters have announced details of their third secret UK club show, with tickets on sale now (though, let’s be fair. By the time you read this, they’ll have sold out - Ed).

Taking place at London’s Islington Assembly Hall, the show went on sale at 4pm today.

That follows tonight’s free show at House of Vans and last night’s gig at Brighton’s tiny Concorde 2, where the band suggested they may be planning another Wembley Stadium date in the near future.

Playing as The Holy Shits, Dave Grohl is reported to have said: “I seem to remember years ago we played this club and it was also hot as balls. When we were asked to come over and play the Invictus Games on Sunday I thought ‘we haven’t played in the UK in years, and I thought we’d try to play gigs like this pretty much every night we’re here until we have to go home. And it gives us a chance to see your faces before we play that week at Wembley Stadium.”

Their eighth album, ‘Sonic Highways’ is due out on 10th November, arriving alongside an HBO documentary.

‘Sonic Highways’ was recorded in eight different studios across North America - Chicago, Austin, Nashville, Los Angeles, Seattle, New Orleans, Washington DC, and New York - with each city providing a guest musician (eg. Eagles’ Joe Walsh for Los Angeles), and every song being devoted to the city of choice.

There’s also going to be nine different album covers available: one representing each of the eight cities that inspired the record, along with one final piece of artwork, suitably dubbed their ‘forever’ cover.
