Foo Fighters to headline Portugal’s NOS Alive 2017

The band will be headlining the festival on 7th July 2017.

After the band themselves offered up a few clues this weekend, Foo Fighters have confirmed that they’ll be returning to Europe next summer.

The band, who posted a mysterious but sparkly photo of the continent on their Twitter account last night, have now announced that they’re chucking that whole hiatus idea out of the window (the one that, you know, clearly wasn’t a hiatus) in favour of headlining Portugal’s NOS Alive festival.

The band will be topping the bill at the weekender - which takes place in Lisbon from 6th to 8th July - on 7th July, before Depeche Mode play the following day on 8th July.

Judging from the clues that Foo Fighters left on the internet yesterday, their slot at the Portuguese festival won’t be their only appearance in Europe this summer. After all, their website has been set up to include a nifty, interactive passport. Let’s take a wild guess and say there’s probably going to be more shows announced shortly…

Foo Fighters released their latest record ‘Sonic Highways’ back in November 2014.
