Foo Fighters officially announce new album 'Your Favorite Toy'

Having spent the past week or so hinting at a big announcement in the pipeline, Foo Fighters have now finally revealed that their next album, ‘Your Favorite Toy’, will be arriving on 24th April via Roswell Records/Colombia Records.

Recorded at home and produced by the band themselves alongside Oliver Roman, the ten track project will be the Foos’ first full-length release since 2023’s ‘But Here We Are’, a bittersweet turn that was their first record since the tragic passing of longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins in 2022.

Ushering in this new era is ‘Your Favorite Toy”s title track - a jagged, propulsive slice of earworm rock that Dave Grohl has said “really was the key that unlocked the tone and energetic direction of the new album.”

Continuing, the frontman explains: “We stumbled upon it after experimenting with different sounds and dynamics for over a year, and the day it took shape I knew that we had to follow its lead. It was the fuse to the powder keg of songs we wound up recording for this record. It feels new.”

Also appearing on the new LP will be last year’s incendiary offering ‘Asking For A Friend’, which will act as ‘Your Favorite Toy”s closing track - a song, as the band shared upon its release, “for those who have waited patiently in the cold, relying on hope and faith for their horizon to appear”.

Kicking off in Oslo in June, the run of shows will see them make stops around Europe and the UK - including two nights at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium - before crossing the pond for a series of huge North American outings. Plus, they’ve lined up a stellar cast of bands to support them along the way, too. Find out full details of where to catch them below.
