Foo Fighters unveil new single, ‘The Feast and the Famine’
Hear the second track to be taken from ‘Sonic Highways’.
One week on from unveiling lead track ‘Something From Nothing’, Foo Fighters have shared ‘The Feast and the Famine’, a monster of a single to be lifted from ‘Sonic Highways’.
With their new LP out 10th November, the Foos are getting down to basics with a forthright, relentlessly-charged giant, all stop-start guitar lines and some customary Grohl-stamped crawls.
Those who pre-order ‘Sonic Highways’ will receive a free download of ‘The Feast and the Famine’ instantly.
’Sonic Highways’ arrives in the form of an LP and a new documentary, which sees the band landing in different US cities to record, while Grohl interviews musical legends from different sides of the country. Each episode is devoted to a different musical landmark in the U.S. - Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Seattle and Washington, D.C. It’s set to air on BBC Four from this weekend, Sunday 26th October.
Last week saw the band playing five successive appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman. Each night they guested with an American legend, in line with the theme of ‘Sonic Highways’, which honours the greats and the history of American music.
