Foo Fighters unveil new ‘Something From Nothing’ video

Foo Fighters have gone back to basics for their new ‘Something From Nothing’ video.

Accompanying a new single unveiled last week - the lead from their ‘Sonic Highways’ album, out 10th November - Dave Grohl and co. have taken to Steve Albini’s Electrical Audio studio with enraged force, dragging their stadium-sized monster of a track into smaller surroundings.

Last week saw the band playing five successive appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman. Each night they guested with an American legend, in line with the theme of ‘Sonic Highways’, which honours the greats and the history of American music.

The band’s week’s worth of performances comes ahead of the release of their brand new album, ‘Sonic Highways’. Scheduled for a 10th November release, the likes of Eagles’ Joe Walsh and Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard - as well as Nielsen - are confirmed to appear.

’Sonic Highways’ arrives in the form of an LP and a new documentary, which sees the band landing in different US cities to record, while Grohl interviews musical legends from different sides of the country. Each episode is devoted to a different musical landmark in the U.S. - Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Seattle and Washington, D.C. It’s set to air on BBC Four from Sunday 26th October.
