Foxygen get dramatic in the video for ‘Upon A Hill’

So, how were Foxygen going to top that brilliantly lavish performance on Conan last month? Well, like this it seems! For ‘Upon A Hill,’ the latest single from the LA duo’s latest album ‘Hang,’ Jonathan Rado puts on a cape, walks around in a fashion that’s best described as “dramatic”, raises a toast and hangs around with puppets. Did I say puppets? I meant creepy demon hell spawn. The irregularly painted dolls have horrible flashing red eyes that makes them seem more like something out of ‘Five Nights At Freddy’s’ than The Muppets (yes, even the furry ones). Oh, and Jonathan also has a pot of eyes and looks like he’s about to eat a brain. There’s a heck of a lot going on in this sub-two minute burst of Victoriana vaudevillian spectacle.
