Future Islands announce new UK dates
The group are also confirmed to support Grace Jones in LA this September.
Future Islands have announced plans to return to the UK in September 2015 for a short tour. The group will play three dates in Manchester, Newcastle and Glasgow before supporting Grace Jones at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles later in the month. Future Islands will play the following:
SEPTEMBER
8 Manchester, Academy
9 Glasgow, Barrowlands
10 Newcastle, O2 Academy
27 Los Angeles (CA), The Hollywood Bowl (w/ Grace Jones)
After a breakthrough year in 2014, the group signed off the year by sharing a mini-documentary titled ‘Road Dawgs’, directed by friend Jay Buim. It captured the realities and pressures they faced since releasing ‘Singles’ in March 2014 and the hectic touring schedule that followed.
Tickets for Future Islands’ shows go on general sale Friday 13th February. Watch the mini-documentary ‘Road Dawgs’ below.
