Future Islands return to Letterman, release new double A-Side single
Baltimore group made a return to their telly breakthrough last night, performing ‘The Chase’.

This time last year, Future Islands (a niche concern before 2014, let’s be honest) were only just beginning to grasp the scale of their breakthrough. A dazzling, unforgettable performance on The Late Show With David Letterman had Peter Crouch and his dog entranced, and it gave the group a platform, where they’ve since become a huge success story.
Last night, Samuel T. Herring and co. returned to the show where they first turned heads in their millions. Sporting almost exactly the same sweeping moves and dancefloor antics as last year, this time they had a new track to showcase - ‘The Chase’. Herring dedicated the performance to “the people of Baltimore”.
Both ‘The Chase’ and ‘Haunted By You’ form a new Future Islands single, released 30th June via 4AD on 7” vinyl. Pre-order here.
