Future Islands return with first new music in three years, ‘For Sure’

Do we smell a new album on the way…?

Everyone’s favourite chest-thumping Baltimore gang Future Islands have returned with their first new music in three years.

‘For Sure’ marks the band’s comeback following 2017 LP ‘The Far Field’, and it’s good news for fans of Samuel Herring and co (can we call them Herring Bones?), because it’s a sparkling, soaring return that’s up there with their best.

Featuring backing vocals from Wye Oak’s Jenn Wasner, ‘For Sure’ also comes with a video c/o Sam Mason that shows a car driving through all kinds of barren landscapes. And though there’s no concrete news of an album yet, we can probably safely assume that the drop means LP6 is likely on its way in the not too distant future.

Get excited by revisiting our 2017 feature with the band, and listen to their newie below.
