Gallows Cancel Two Shows Due To Illness

Following the recent revelation that frontman Frank Carter was to leave Gallows, the band have now cancelled two shows due to his illness.

The band were due to play two shows in Norway this weekend but have cancelled their performance citing a throat infection as explanation. The band are still currently believed to be playing Guilfest this Sunday (17th).

Their offical website states: ‘It is with great regret that due to illness Gallows have had to pull out of two appearances in Norway this weekend. The band will no longer be playing Sjottsfell Festival and Bukta Festival.

‘Frank became ill yesterday and after seeking doctors’ advice has been told not to play. The band are completely gutted about this as they love Norway and have been looking forward to these shows. As it stands Gallows will still play Guilfest on Sunday.’

In a statement earlier this week, vocalist Carter said the band had hit a ‘crossroads’ and that the band had decided to continue without him.

‘It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce my departure from Gallows’, writes Carter. ‘It seems that Gallows have hit a crossroads in our writing process and unfortunately myself and the rest of the boys have different ideas regarding the sound of Gallows going forward. Gallows have decided they are going to continue on without me and I wish the boys the best of luck for the future. Gallows will be fulfilling all of our current touring plans until August 1st so please come down to a show and help me make each show a total celebration!’

Carter revealed that he will be starting a new band, called Pure Love, with friend Jim Carroll of Hope Conspiracy. An album and tour are expected later in the year.
