Garnets Share Debut Single Details For ‘Fruit’
The London group will send Bon Iver fans into a sleepy slumber.

London’s Garnets were introduced to us this morning by the guys at Dummy. Their debut single came out last week. Playing below, it’ll likely remind you of a few of your favourite, lullaby-like bands.
The obvious comparison that comes to light is Bon Iver; Justin Vernon placing falsetto-ed vocals against slowly chiming piano chords. Debut single ‘Fruit”s five minutes channel the experience, slowly coming to life rather than initially dazzling and outstaying their welcome. Those lovely pianos are quickly joined by gently strummed guitars. It all amounts to something sleepy, unintended for the short attention spanned, scattershot music listener. Those with a pillow behind their head will find a fitting soundtrack in concluding their hectic start to the week.
Stream Garnet’s debut single ‘Fruit’ below. It’s ridiculously pretty.
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
