GEMS announce debut album ‘Kill The One You Love’, share lead single ‘Living as a Ghost’
The Washington D.C. duo will release their first full-length on 30th October through Carpark Records.
Washington D.C. duo GEMS have announced details of their debut album.
‘Kill The One You Love’ is out 30th October through Carpark Records and follows Lindsay Pitts and Clifford John Usher’s self-released ’Medusa’ EP from 2013. The title for the album takes itself from a quote in Chuck Palahniuk’s novel ‘Fight Club’: “That old saying, how you always kill the one you love, well, look, it works both ways.”
In previewing their first full-length, GEMS have shared a new single ‘Living as a Ghost’, which is streaming below. A statement for the album says that “Kill The One You Love is an album of hurt, longing, and the beauty found in that space between. It’s music for the heartbroken but hopeful.”
