Listen: Gengahr share ‘I’ll Be Waiting’ EP

The band have shared four new acoustic versions of ‘Where Wildness Grows’ tracks.
Gengahr are mid-way through a UK tour for their new album ‘Where Wildness Grows’, and have shared a new EP of acoustic versions.
The ‘I’ll Be Waiting’ EP, based around the band’s new single, features four new stripped-back versions of tracks from the band’s second album.
“At first, the idea of making acoustic versions of our music felt quite daunting,” vocalist Felix Bushe says of the release, “but there’s something beautifully honest and vulnerable about presenting the songs in this way, and we really hope people enjoy these different representations as much as we did putting them together.”
We spoke to Gengahr around the release of ‘Where Wildness Grows’, about the progression seen on the ‘A Dream Outside’ follow-up.
“We went a bit nuts making every song sound like a different genre as much as we could,” Felix told us, “but the thing that unified it at the end was thinking that if we could do it between four of us then no matter how weird and different it was from what we’d done before then it would still sound like Gengahr.”
