Get Hot up their intensity with new track ‘DRUGS’

Things are evidently heating up for thrashing duo Get Hot, a new project formed from the murky depths of FTSE and Jakwob’s collective brain.

A big departure from their “day jobs” - Jakwob lights a match on striking club tracks, with FTSE opting for electronic pop with a darker edge - Get Hot ditches the gadgets for an all-out ode to unhinged escape. Nothing’s kept in check - not a single speck of their material so far is at all restrained.

It started with ‘PARTY’ - now the ride continues with ‘DRUGS’. The track commences with letter-by-letter, Queen-style harmonies (“D-R-U-G-S”), before commencing into complete bedlam. It’s the musical equivalent of week-long cold turkey, embracing a dark as sin chorus of “NO, DOCTOR / NO, DOCTOR”. A bratty, devilish introduction, this track forms part of a debut 7” single on Lucky Number Music.
