Getdown Services introduce next EP with new single ‘Eat Quiche, Sleep, Repeat’
The inimitable Bristol duo’s latest project will arrive in June.

Cult favourites Getdown Services have announced that their next EP, ‘Primordial Slot Machine’, will be released on 6th June via Breakfast Records, and have also offered up a first taste of what to expect from the new project.
Entitled ‘Eat Quiche, Sleep, Repeat’ (naturally), the pair’s latest single sees them expand on the reflection and introspection of 2024 EP ‘Your Medal’s In The Post’ and consider how self-acceptance of adequacy - rather than striving for unrealistic highs - might not be such a terrible thing after all.
“This song is about accepting there’s a chance our bitterness won’t ever fully go away,” the band note, explaining that the track deals with “trying to wrap your head round the idea of learning to manage things as opposed to getting rid.”
Continuing, they share: “We’ve spent most of our lives thinking one day we’ll somehow become these happy go lucky positive members of society and this song is about accepting that maybe we won’t and maybe we don’t have to. Maybe we’ll be fine as we are: happy a lot of the time but always at least semi-miserable.”
