Bristol’s Getdown Services offer up new single ‘The Radiator’
The band have shared their latest single ahead of their hefty schedule of upcoming live shows.

Surreal party-starters Getdown Services have returned with a brand new single, ‘The Radiator’
Fresh from their shows alongside Viagra Boys last month, the Bristol duo - aka Josh Law and Ben Sadler - have shared their latest track, a song about “only picking fights that you know you’ll win”.
If that doesn’t intrigue, try this explanation of the inspiration behind ‘The Radiator’ on for size: “It came about because the heating wouldn’t come on once and I thought about when we bang things to make them work,” Josh explains. “Ben once told me that he used to threaten his PlayStation 1 when games wouldn’t load quick enough. The sense of victory you get when you feel like you’ve physically intimidated an inanimate object into doing what you want is bizarre and pathetic and really funny.”
Alongside their latest release - which follows on from last year’s EP ‘Crumbs 2’ - they’ve shared an accompanying video, starring Daisy Kennedy and Hannah Mullen, and directed by JJ Jarman, which is as madcap as the song itself. What’s more, they’ve also announced plans for a hefty hometown show in early 2027; they’ll play at Bristol’s Beacon on 16th January, with tickets going on sale from 10am tomorrow (Thursday 2nd April).
