Ghostface Killah confirms collaboration with MF Doom

‘DOOMStarks’ album will air in 2015.

The long awaited collaborative album between Ghostface Killah and MF DOOM looks more likely than ever to finally arrive after the Wu-Tang rapper revealed that it is set for release in 2015.

Days before the release of his forthcoming solo record ’36 Seasons’, Ghostface offered the straightforward reply of “Yes its coming out in 2015” when asked during a Reddit AMA session about the status of the much talked about team-up.

The project has been in the pipeline for years with the first cuts airing back in 2011 when versions of track ‘Victory Laps’ were put out on cassette and limited edition picture disk. Ghostface announced later that year that the project was being held up by DOOM but despite it taking three years since, it would seem that the album is now very close to completion.

Both artists have been busy working on collaborative albums of late. ‘DOOMStarks’ will be added to a long list of collaborations in MF Doom’s discography, most recently putting out ‘NehruvianDOOM’ with hotly tipped New York rap prodigy Bishop Nehru in October of this year. Meanwhile, Ghostface Killah features on every track on the upcoming BADBADNOTGOOD album ‘Sour Soul’, released on 17th February 2015.
