GL drop debut track, ‘What Happened To Us?’

Further proof that slick synth pop is Australia’s game - that place is untouchable for stuff like this - GL are a new duo emerging from Down Under, bubbling up with their bittersweet new track ‘What Happened To Us?’

Leading a self-titled debut EP, this newly unveiled track is the first glimpse of Graeme Pogson and Ella Thompson’s sparkling synth wash, which sits somewhere between Chairlift and Washed Out. A chilled out aesthetic harks back, and Thompson’s vocals are similarly struck by the past. Halcyon days are long gone, she’s admitting, and her only escape is in giddy songwriting.

GL’s debut EP is out 6th October on Sydney label Plastic World.
