GL see double in new ‘Hallucinate’ video
The Melbourne disco-heads nod towards the psychedelic in their new video, premiering here on DIY.

Melbourne disco enthusiasts GL only went and announced their debut album ‘Touch’ last month. Out on July 15th via Midnight Feature/Plastic World, they’ve wasted no time whatsoever in keeping the fire stoked, and now there’s a video for their latest single, ‘Hallucinate’.
With a bass-line that would have Patrice Rushen herself nodding in approval, ‘Hallucinate’ is a strutting, slinking slice of vintage-nodding, soul-filled disco. Befitting the song title, the video itself swirls with retina-grabbing technicolour, projections colliding into Ella Thompson and Graeme Pogson in psychedelic double-vision. There are cyan chandeliers, pink diamonds, and bright red washes. It’s every bit as vivid as the punchy funk of GL’s melodies.
We’ve got the first play of GL’s new video for ‘Hallucinate,’ premiering below. Have a gander.
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
