glaive confirms debut album ‘i care so much i dont care at all’

glaive has confirmed that he is getting ready to release his debut album, ‘i care so much I dont care at all’.

Alongside the news, he has also shared the album’s first single ‘as if’. Watch the video, directed by Adrian Villagomez, below.

Speaking about ‘as if’, the glaive has said, “We made ‘as if’ in December when we thought the album was already done. For a long time, I had been making music about relationships, but I hadn’t been in a relationship in a year and a half at that point, so I was forced to look more inward. This was one of the first songs where I guess I ended up talking about myself and the world from my perspective, rather than other people’s. It’s scary to be honest about who I am and for a long time, I was scared to show anyone the song. But now it’s out and the first single from the album <3.”

‘as if’ opens with a sample of actor Timothée Chalamet performing a monologue from the off-Broadway play ‘Prodigal Son’, one of his earliest acting roles.

The eighteen-year-old North Carolina native has released three EPs to date: ‘cypress grove’, ‘all dogs go to heaven’ and ‘then I’ll be happy’.
