Glastonbury 2014 To Be Headlined By Three Bands Who Haven’t Played Before

Daft Punk and Fleetwood Mac are among names tipped for the 2014 fest.

Glastonbury 2014 To Be Headlined By Three Bands Who Haven’t Played Before

The Glastonbury 2014 rumour-mill is gaining early traction, following comments from Michael Eavis confirming that all headliners for next year are bands that haven’t played the festival before.

Speaking to NME at last night’s AIM Awards, where he was presenting an award to Billy Bragg, Eavis stated: ‘Next year’s headliners are more or less in place. They’re three bands who haven’t played Glastonbury, and that’s important. There aren’t many bands left who haven’t played the festival, and before we run out I’d like to persuade the ones on my wish list to come down. I think I’ve managed that with these three.’

This leads to the obvious initial conclusions: Daft Punk have never played before. Neither have Fleetwood Mac.

But then again: Have you ever seen Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff play Glastonbury? Nope. No you haven’t.
