West London producer Glows gets reflective on new track 'Passing Talk'

It’s inspired by those times “when you are on your own, remembering a conversation from before”.

Every weekday, DIY’s new music know-it-all Neu brings you one essential new release to get obsessed with. Today’s Neu Pick comes from Glows.

Glows is the project of London-based producer GG Skips. The 21-year-old has spent the past few years running the promotions company Slow Dance and putting on early shows by artists such as Sorry, Goat Girl and Black Midi.

New track ‘Passing Talk’ however is a world away from his guitar-based beginnings, a track full of glitchy, meditative electronics.

He explains: “It’s quite a bittersweet one for me, one for the early mornings in winter months when you are on your own, remembering a conversation from before, or trying to make sense of happy or painful memories. Thats the joy of instrumental tracks, they allow reflection, there’s a melancholy to it.”

It comes accompanied by visuals made by Skips and Kit Whalley-Payne and is the third single from the West London producer, after he released releasing ‘Foam’ and ‘Perla’ last year.
