Gorillaz announce four special live shows this September
The band will be performing on the closing week of their forthcoming House of Kong exhibition.
Gorillaz have just announced that they will be performing four very special live shows this September. The band - who are fronted by Blur’s lead singer, Damon Albarn - will be playing the limited capacity gigs at London’s Copper Box Arena on 29th August, 30th August, 2nd September and 3rd September 2025.
The new shows will happen on the closing week of the band’s forthcoming exhibition, House of Kong, which will give fans the opportunity to journey into the world of Gorillaz and their signature virtual innovation. Exhibition goers will also get priority access to buy tickets for the shows.
Like the exhibition, the newly announced gigs will see the band delve into their past and showcase some of the most historic live events from their first three albums. Gorillaz will perform each record in full, one at each show, while also revisiting their most iconic concerts.
The band will kick off with a celebration of their self-titled record and 2001’s show at Scala (29th August), before honouring ‘Demon Days’ and their 2006 Harlem’s Apollo Theatre show (30th August). The third show will see them reliving two nights at London’s Roundhouse in 2010 for ‘Plastic Beach’ (2nd September), before culminating in a final mystery show (3rd September).
