Governors Island Hosts ‘Governor’s Ball’

A new music festival has been confirmed for New York City this summer, taking place at Governors Island on June 18th.

The island - a small tract of land in the water dividing Brooklyn and Manhattan - has in recent times been the site for a series of live concerts during the summer months, featuring performances from the likes of Panda Bear, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, and Passion Pit.

Artists already confirmed to appear at the two-stage event include Girl Talk, Empire of the Sun, Neon Indian, Big Boi and Pretty Lights.
