Brits win big at music awards

Coldplay, Robert Plant and Radiohead hit the headlines this morning after walking away with a handful of gongs at this year’s Grammys.

The award ceremony, which took place in LA last night, saw more Brits win awards than ever before with Robert Plant taking home the most awards.

Radiohead, who performed on the night with a marching band, won Best Alternative Album and Best Packaged Box Set. Coldplay also won Best Song and Best Rock Album.

The main winners of the awards are-

Record Of The Year - ‘Please Read The Letter’ - Robert Plant and Alison Krauss
Album Of The Year - ‘Rising Sand’ - Robert Plant and Alison Krauss
Song Of The Year - ‘Viva La Vida’ - Coldplay
Best New Artist - Adele
Best Female Pop Vocal Performance- ‘Chasing Pavements’- Adele
Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals- ‘Viva La Vida’ - Coldplay
Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals- ‘Rich Woman’- Robert Plant and Alison Krauss
Best Pop Vocal Album- ‘Rockferry’- Duffy
Best Rock Album- ‘Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends’- Coldplay
Best Alternative Album- ‘In Rainbows’ - Radiohead
Best Rap/ Sung Collaboration- ‘American Boy’ - Estelle ft Kanye West
