Green Day Announce Release Of New Single, ‘Oh Love’

Green Day have confirmed plans to release a brand new single, entitled ‘Oh Love’.

The first track to be taken from the band’s forthcoming new release, the release was announced last night (25th June) via the band’s website.

The track looks set to premiere on the 16th July.

The punk trio will release all three records - titled ‘¡UNO! ¡DOS! ¡TRE!’ over a five month period. The first on the 25th September, the second on the 13th November and the final on the 15th January of next year. Recorded in the band’s hometown of Oakland, California, long time collaborator Rob Cavallo will produce.

Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong revealed this information on his Twitter, alongside the following statement from the band themselves.

‘We are at the most prolific and creative time in our lives. This is the best music we’ve ever written, and the songs just keep coming.

‘Instead of making one album, we are making a three album trilogy. Every song has the power and energy that represents Green Day on all emotional levels. We just can’t help ourselves… We are going epic as fuck!’
