Today marks three years since Grimes released her brilliant last album ‘Art Angels’, and it looks like its follow-up might not be that far away!

Responding to a tweet celebrating the third anniversary of ‘Art Angels’, Claire Boucher revealed that new music is imminent.

“Thank god I have new music imminent this is embarrassingly long time to not release an album haha,” she said in the reply, which has since been deleted.

It’s not that the singer hasn’t been busy recently though - recently she’s shared a potential tracklist and some clips of new music, as well as announcing that she’s written the theme tune to new Netflix series Hilda, before teaming up with former Mindless Self Indulgence frontman Jimmy Urine on a track for his new project EURINGER(!), guesting on the new Bring Me The Horizon album(!) and releasing ‘Play Destroy’, a collaboration with Poppy.

If the new tweet is anything to go by, though, we could be getting some new music from Grimes herself very soon indeed.

Re-visit our cover feature with the star from around the release of ‘Art Angels’ here.
