Grouper’s new project Helen shares video for ‘Covered In Shade’

Helen have shared a new video for ‘Covered In Shade’ to coincide with the release of their debut album ‘The Original Faces’ today (4th September) via Kranky. The group consists of Liz Harris - best known as Grouper - Scott Simmons, Jed Bindeman of Eternal Tapestry, and a mystery back-up vocalist called Helen. Many of the songs on ‘The Original Faces’ come from demos by Simmons and Harris.

‘Covered In Shade’s video is directed by Jamie Potter, and shot on 8mm film. It follows Helen around with a shaky handheld camera, visiting slugs and graveyards along the way. Grouper’s dog also makes an Oscar-winning cameo.
