Gruff Rhys’ ‘American Interior’ picks up music and book award nominations
Multi-media project is getting its dues in awards season.
Gruff Rhys’ multi-media extravaganza ‘American Interior’ is paying dividends. His LP/book/app/everything else under the sun project has been nominated for two awards.
As confirmed last night, ‘American Interior’ is up for the Independent Album of the Year at the AIM Independent Music Awards.
Meanwhile the album’s accompanying novel is nominated for the Guardian First Book Award as well as the Gordon Burn Prize.
‘American Interior’ came out via Turnstile earlier this year - recently Gruff unveiled the puppet-friendly video for ‘Liberty (Is Where We’ll Be)’. Watch that below.
