Guided By Voices Confirmed For Øya 2011

Guided By Voices have been confirmed for 2011’s Øya Festival.
The band will play their first show in Europe since 2001, and their only planned European reunion date so far in 2011, at the Norwegian even this August.
After breaking up Guided By Voices in 2004, Robert Pollard has reunited the ‘classic’ Guided By Voices line-up for a very limited number of dates. Tobin Sprout (guitar) Charles ‘Mitch’ Mitchell (guitar), Greg Demos (bass) and Kevin Fennel (drums) will be joining Pollard on classic GBV songs from 1992-1996 from the albums Propeller, Bee Thousand, Alien Lanes and Under The Bushes, Under The Stars.
Guided By Voices join previously confirmed headliners Aphex Twin, Q-Tip, Noah and the Whale and Hercules & Love Affair.
Øya takes place between August 9th-13th.
