Gus Dapperton shares new BENEE collaboration ‘Don’t Let Me Down

Gus’ last album ‘Orca’ came out in 2020.

Gus Dapperton has shared his new single ‘Don’t Let Me Down’, a collaboration with BENEE.

The track, which is out now via Warner Records, is the latest preview of his forthcoming third album ‘HENGE’, which will be released on 7th July.

Dapperton first worked with BENEE on the latter’s 2020 single ‘Supalonely’. Speaking about ‘Don’t Let Me Down’, Dapperton has said: “I’ve been a huge fan of BENEE ever since our collaboration on ‘Supalonely’. She’s an incredible writer and has a beautiful voice. This beat came quickly when I was filling in the blanks with all the moods I wanted to convey on this project. I immediately thought of her voice. She sent me back an entire vocal take within a day or two and I thought it was perfect. This song is a cry for help and a final yearning of two forces being pulled apart.”

Prior to this, Dapperton had shared the singles ‘Horizons’ and ‘Wet Cement’, both of which will also appear on ‘HENGE’.

The Warwick, New York native had previously released the album’s ‘Where Polly People Go to Read’ in 2019 and ‘Orca’ in 2020.
