Hear Cashmere Cat give Ryn Weaver’s ‘Octahate’ its first ever remix
Norwegian producer makes one of 2014’s standout debuts even more striking.
Go-to Norwegian producer Cashmere Cat has been given the lofty task of providing the first ever remix of Ryn Weaver’s breakthrough debut track ‘Octahate’. This follows his role in co-producing the original track.
With Weaver continuing to work with Benny Blanco, Charli XCX and others in LA, this new edit throws an already giddy track into an impossibly bright-eyed, wondrous charmer. Shameless guitar licks are chucked in, electronics skittering and skidding in countless directions - it’s Cashmere Cat’s unique style epitomised, this being a smart meeting of minds.
Ryn Weaver’s debut EP ‘Promises’ is out now on Friends Keep Secrets / Interscope.
